FiCloud Conference 2014

What’s the future for the Catalan innovation system? (Part 2)

The RIS3CAT, as every smart specialization strategy now in Europe, is reproducing the wording of the European documents promoting this novel approach. The problem is that this new model, called Quadruple Helix, doesn't seem to influence too much to our local policy makers that continue to believe in an innovation system driven by the old actors of the Triple Helix: companies, research centers and public administrations.

IoTogether, simultaneous hackathon between Barcelona and Trento

About thirty people will work together and simultaneously from Barcelona and Trento (Italy) on September 20 to find solutions in the Internet of Things (IOT), useful for smart cities. It will be the IoTogether, the first hackathon distributed between the two cities, thanks to the Specifi network and with the collaboration of Barcelona Laboratory.

Techno-Anthropology and eHealth Workshop

i2CAT Foundation and i2Health-Sant Pau will work together in the Techno-Anthropology and eHealth Workshop: New Technologies to promote mobility among the elderly, organized by ACPA and taught by Dr. Jordi Colobrans. The workshop is aimed at people interested in learning and implementing the User Experience Research in the field of health, mostly social researchers, psychosocial professionals, designers, developers, perception psychologists and market researchers.
