i2CAT, in the Health and Wellbeing Innovation Conference

i2CAT Foundation had a very prominent role in the V ICT and Health Congress, Health and Wellbeing Innovation conference, held on the 5th and 6th of June in Girona. This conference is a reference event in the Pyrenees Mediterranean Euroregion, which gathers the most relevant players in ICT and Health of this region. i2CAT participated as a sponsor of the conference and as a developer of the Networking App, which facilitated the interaction between participants, and provide basic information content of the conference.

On the other hand, a presentation was made on one of the most relevant i2CAT’s solutions, the eHealth Patient Portal, an online tool that takes advantage of the availability and potential of Internet to offer a personalized health, reducing health care costs, and putting information available to patients in the form of access to clinical reports, health content and tele-consultation tools. I2CAT also was present with a booth in the exhibition area, where many innovative products and technologies in the field of telemedicine and telecare were shown.

The objectives of this conference was to focus on research and identify relevant actors in the field of ICT for social welfare and quality of life, in order to bring the offer to the needs of healthcare institutions, identify key industry trends and meet new cases of innovation in the territories. In short, it is about bringing out a new range of opportunities for companies and technological centers and to consolidate a regional meeting environment for ICT in the field of health, wellness and quality of life. In this sense, the participation figures show the success of this conference:

  • 28 participants between authorities, moderators and reporters of the thematic groups
  • 36 project presentations
  • 15 presentations in the Speakers Corner
  • 80 posters and demonstrations in the exhibition area
  • 62 organizations including Catalan, Spanish, French and Swedish companies, research and medical centers and research institutions participating in the B2B
  • 251 interviews recorded at the B2
  • 34 organizations linked between organizers, sponsors, technical sponsors and collaborators
