AugmentedHeritage is a point of encounter between the latest technologies and heritage. During the last years, we have seen successful experiences applying innovative technologies as virtual reality and augmented reality in multiple sectors (industry, marketing, health, etc.). The i2CAT Foundation is interested on exploring also its valuable results in areas as heritage, creativity and tourism.

Cultural collaboration case study: Dancing around the World

TEIN (Trans-Eurasia Information Network), is the resulting network of several collaborations among Asia-Pacific countries. Thanks to this initiative, these countries have now access to advanced communication infrastructures (bandwidth up to 10Gbps) to run research and educational actions in cooperation with European and American entities. One of their focus activities is centered in eCulture.

Germany and its Industrie 4.0

On May 18 a delegation of representatives of the Government and i2CAT visited Stuttgart, Amberg and Berlin. The main goal of the trip was to see closer some significant projects in the field of so-called Industrie 4.0. and unveiled the new Smartcat strategy. Throughout 2015, Catalonia leads the topic of Smart Regions in the framework of the Four Motors for Europe, and the "smart industry" is an essential part of this strategy.
